MARITIME PARK
Founded in Baltimore in 1985, Living Classrooms Foundation is a Baltimore-Washington D.C. nonprofit that disrupts the cycle of poverty and helps our community become safer, stronger and healthier by meeting individuals where they are and building skills for life. Living Classrooms inspires children, youth, and adults to achieve their potential through hands-on education, workforce development, health and wellness, and violence prevention programming. Proceeds from the rental of the Frederick Douglass - Isaac Myers Maritime Park support the ongoing delivery of Living Classrooms' life-changing programs that are making our community safer, stronger, and healthier.

Living Classrooms
The Frederick Douglass-Isaac Myers Maritime Park is Living Classrooms' headquarters and national heritage site, celebrating the contributions of African-Americans in the development of Baltimore's maritime industry, including the Chesapeake Marine Railway and Dry Dock Company, the nation's first African-American owned and operated shipyard established in 1868. The site honors the legacy of shipbuilding and Baltimore's working waterfront as it relates to African American Maritime and Cultural History, Isaac Myers and his partners, and Frederick Douglass while preserving on of the city's oldest industrial waterfront buildings, the Sugar/Coffee House.

Rental Details
Deposit & Final Payment
50% of the rental fee is due at signing. The remaining 50% is due 14 days prior to event date.
Setup & Breakdown
You receive 4 hours for setup, and 2 hours for breakdown.
Tables, Chairs & Linens
Rental equipment (tables, chairs, and linens) is not provided by the venue and must be rented by a licensed rental provider. You are welcome to use whichever licensed rental provider you choose, but we recommend selecting one of the providers.
Food & Beverage
All food & beverage must be provided, prepared and served by a caterer from our exclusive catering list.
Ships on Cardin Pier
There are two ships that live on Cardin Pier- the Lady Maryland and the Sigsbee. There is no guarantee either ship will be on the dock for the day of your event as we do not control their schedule.
Parking
Parking is not provided. Clients and guests must use paid lots or street parking at the client or guest expense.
Event Cut-Off Times
Event must conclude (music off) no later than by 11:00PM.
