Ta’niha is a senior at Maya Angelou Public Charter School in Washington, DC, and a long-time Living Classrooms student. She has been enrolled in our Robotics after-school and summer program since middle school and has competed for several years on our award-winning FIRST Robotics national competition team.

Ta’niha is also a member of our College and Career Readiness Program and for the last year, has been participating in our year-round youth internship program in partnership with Bloomberg Philanthropies, HeartSmiles, and Goldman Sachs’ 10,000 Small Businesses. Ta’niha is preparing for a career in aerospace engineering and was matched with one of our employment partners for an internship at Aerothreads where she has been working under the tutelage and mentorship of Aleks Bugonovic, Founder and CEO of the woman-owned space blanket design firm in Maryland.

Our staff is thrilled to report that Ta’niha was recently accepted into the Allegheny College of Maryland where she will use her past education and professional experience to further her career aspirations.
