Our Fresh Start program is looking for volunteer tutors to work with our students on high school level reading. Fresh Start is a non-residential, community-based program that consists of a 24-week curriculum providing vocational, academic, and social skills development training to adjudicated and out-of-school youth ages 16-19, most of whom are referred by the Maryland Department of Juvenile Services. The program uses carpentry as a medium to teach academic, social, and job readiness skills.

When: Monday-Thursday, 10am-2pm

*Individuals must be willing to commit to at least one hour bi-weekly, consistently, but weekly commitment is preferred.
