Living Classrooms’ Workforce Development Department Hosts Fall Festival

Living Classrooms’ Workforce Development Department hosted a Fall Festival earlier in November, within the Broadway Overlook Community to further engage residents within the community. Throughout the course of the event, Living Classrooms’ Project SERVE staff met with over 50 community members in an effort to recruit individuals for the program; Project SERVE also gave away bags of Thanksgiving Dinner fixings to those in need.

Living Classrooms UA House Workforce Development staff worked simultaneously to sign up community members for financial literacy workshops and provided resume assistance. Furthermore, residents were provided with information around the Identity Clinic, in which individuals receive assistance with obtaining birth certificates and other forms of identification needed to gain employment.
