11th Annual Night at The Point

Friday October 19, 2018
7:00pm - 11:00pm
Buzzard Point, 200 V Street SW, Washington, DC 20024

Our annual event celebrating and supporting the important work of Living Classrooms of the National Capital Region is back! This year, the celebration will once again be hosted at a beautiful waterfront setting during The Year of the Anacostia. We are excited to bring you an evening to remember, with live music and delicious food & drinks. We hope you can join us in support of our mission to disrupt the cycle of poverty in some of the most at-risk neighborhoods in and around Washington, DC.

ENJOY

GREAT FOOD - local foodies are encouraged to attend for a unique opportunity to sample delicious and innovative creations from over 30 of DC's top restaurants and caterers, accompanied by beer, wine, special liquor samples, and soft drinks.

GREAT MUSIC - Night at The Point always features great music and this year will be no exception with The James Brown Dance Party, known as the "Funkiest All-Star Tribute in Show Business." This tribute to James Brown features a rotating cast of prominent musicians including members of James Brown Band, Kool and the Gang, The Dap Kings, Sly and the Family Stone, Snarky Puppy, Trombone Shorty, Bootsy Collins Band, Tedeschi Trucks, Mumford and Sons, and more! The James Brown dance party puts on rare and special performances as it is not a full-time touring band, so you don't want to miss this show!

GREAT SCENE and AMBIENCE - Over 800 guests attend Night at The Point to mingle, dance, and enjoy a beautiful evening under the stars. Come in casual, festive attire for a great view of the river and a night you won't soon forget - with an incredible ambience produced in partnership with Select Event Group.

GREAT CAUSE - Night at The Point is a benefit in support of the innovative hands-on education and job-training programs provided by Living Classrooms Foundation, who works primaril
y with youth and young adults living in high-risk environments in the Washington, DC and Baltimore areas. Living Classrooms disrupts the cycle of poverty and makes communities safer, stronger, and healthier by meeting individuals where they are and giving them skills for life.
