About the Girls' Empowerment Mission:The GEM Program works with disadvantaged high school girls in an effort to inspire them and lay the foundation for success in their lives. The program, run in partnership with Debbi Weinberg, is designed to address the needs of these at-risk girls within a positive and enriching environment that includes cultural, recreational, social, educational, and professional opportunities; mentoring, service to others, leadership training, financial literacy, and decision-making skills.
